If you, your child or family is struggling with navigating life’s challenges, I can provide a safe and confidential space to make long lasting change. My approach is nonjudgmental, down to earth and compassionate. Coming from a bicultural background, I believe in providing therapy that honors multicultural perspectives and diversity.
By unpacking the past and uncovering how it plays out in current relationships, we can break unhealthy patterns to find new ways for you to think and behave. I incorporate my therapeutic knowledge, education and personal experience to bring healing and growth to your life. We will work collaboratively to help you discover the best version of yourself.

ABOUT US
Connie
I’ve been a practicing psychotherapist since 2012. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Minor in Public Policy from the University of California, Los Angeles. I completed my Masters of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco. I have extensive experience providing individual and family therapy in a variety of settings including agencies, homes, milieu, schools, private practice and outpatient treatment centers. I have worked with children, teens, adults and families of diverse cultural and economic backgrounds in areas such as addiction, acculturation, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, parenting, relational issues, and life transitions.
Jessie
Meet Jessie, my certified therapy dog. In 2010, Jessie was picked up by Animal Care and Control as an abuse case. Jessie was extremely under-socialized, underweight and nearly terrified of everything. Today, Jessie is an active part of my therapy practice. She was awarded the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) title and Therapy Dog title by the American Kennel Club (AKC). She is a member of Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation Pet Hug Pack. She has also trained with Bad Rap in their Pit Ed classes since 2014. Jessie spends her time at my office, volunteering as a therapy dog, and relaxing at home. She loves children, the beach, sunbathing and belly rubs.
ANIMAL ASSISTED THERAPY
Dogs are a therapeutic tool used in animal-assisted therapy to promote healing and growth. Dogs are non-judgmental and comforting. Dogs are also very intuitive and will mirror our feelings, which can help individuals learn to manage their emotions. Children and teens respond very well to this type of therapy, and can open up and process traumatic events when the focus in on the dog. Other therapeutic benefits include decreased stress, relief from anxiety and depression, increased focus and attention, and unconditional acceptance and support.
